The North Country Initiative (NCI) invites applications for a full-time Director based in Watertown, NY.
About Us: NCI is a partnership of hospitals, independent physicians and community providers working together to reform the healthcare system across northern New York's Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties. Its key goal is to provide accessible, effective, high-quality health care to rural, underserved populations. It aligns health system partners with payers to drive clinical improvement and implements evidence-based strategies to enhance patient outcomes while reducing cost.
Principle Duties: The Director is responsible for the leadership and management of NCI. The Director works with the Executive Director of its sister organization, the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization, and a board of managers to establish and oversee program administration and provide vision and leadership to the region's Clinically Integrated Network, Accountable Care Organization (ACO), and Management Service Organization. The Director will be the central liaison between hospitals, healthcare providers, community-based organizations and other stakeholders, as necessary. The Director is responsible for the identification and implementation of key operational components to successfully guide stakeholders into a value-based payment system.
The NCI Director must be a proven leader and self-starter, possessing strong skills in: program and financial planning and management, community relations and advocacy. He/she must be comfortable presenting in front of audiences and have a proven track record of organizing individuals toward a common goal.
Qualifications: Leadership experience with a working knowledge of the healthcare delivery system. Experience in management of an Accountable Care Organization or a Managed Care program preferred. The ideal candidate has relationships with healthcare providers in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties, or could demonstrate the ability to build such relationships. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree preferred.
Compensation will range from $85,000-$105,000 annually based on experience, with potential for bonuses. NCI also offers a competitive benefits package.
